Job summary

Bharat Forge Aluminum USA, Inc. seeks a skilled machinist to set up, load and operate EDM and graphite milling machines to produce parts to tight tolerances.

The role also covers lathe setup for training, threading and boring operations as required to meet customer specifications. Responsibilities include retrieving and loading CNC programs, preparing cutters, verifying dimensions, performing basic maintenance, and handling materials with a forklift or overhead crane.

Qualifications

• Retrieves and loads CNC/milling programs and ensures correct execution.
• Sets up die blocks and checks stability to prevent movement during machining.
• Sets up cutters and aligns for proper height and length for each job.
• Ensures tool offsets and checks depths/widths to prevent cutter pull-down and verify program runs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, load and operate EDM and graphite milling machines to produce parts per specs.
• Set up lathe for training, threading and boring operations as required.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oiling and greasing filters.
• Fill out Job Tracking Form and file programs after each job.
• Transfer CAD/CAM data from central system to machine control (DNC) and generate CAM data.
• Grind and shape cutters on a tool grinder as needed.
