Norsk Hydro's Hydro Extrusions in North America is seeking a CNC Technician to operate and set up equipment, produce quality pieces, and support the department safely and efficiently under supervision. You will respond to machine alarms, assist the supervisor with job assignments, and help keep production schedules on track.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma required.
• 2–3 years CNC setup experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of G and M codes.
• Ability to complete setups from blueprints and work instructions.
• Must be able to use hand tools.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments (height gauges, calipers, micrometers).
• Must read/write small numbers and perform arithmetic.

Aufgaben

• Maintain CNC tools and respond to alarms promptly.
• Assist supervisor with job assignments to meet production schedules.
• Instruct production personnel in machine operation.
• Cross-train and ensure Hydro Safety training is up to date.
• Stop production and report quality issues to supervision.
• Inform maintenance when machines or tools breakdown.
• Ensure correct part numbers and counts on racks/packaged material.
• Identify and account for all scrap.
• Support productivity and quality improvements.
