Job summary

Hydro North America is seeking a skilled manufacturing associate for the 2nd shift (1:45pm–5:45am). You will ensure health, safety and environmental standards, follow standardized work, inspect products, and coordinate with Maintenance to address equipment issues.

Prior heavy manufacturing, blueprint reading, and CNC/saw/punch experience are required. We offer comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental and life insurance, retirement plans with company match, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Metal working using precision instruments to produce tight tolerance products.
• Must be able to understand basic English instructions and effectively communicate regarding safety, quality, and production requirements.
• Quality inspection experience
• Experience operating production equipment, punch presses, saws or CNC machines
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, or engineering specifications

Responsibilities

• Accountable for health, safety, and environmental aspects related to this position.
• Responsible for following Standardized Work and Work Instructions.
• Identify product defects and communicate with leaders.
• Operate and assist with maintaining proper equipment lubrication levels.
• Enter appropriate AS 400 transactions.
• Effective communication with Maintenance regarding equipment issues.
• Effective communication at shift transition.
• Operator care / housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Efficiently operate all fabrication equipment to meet customer demand.
