Job summary

Bocar US is seeking a CNC Technician to perform setup and changeovers on 5-axis horizontal mills, load/unload tooling, and run NC programs. You will assist the operator through first piece verification and stage tooling for each job.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, fixture changes, CNC set up, and understanding tool offsets and NC programming. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• At least two years of relevant experience in a technician role in a manufacturing operation.
• Coordination and organizing abilities required.
• Effective communication with all levels of staff, vendors, and management.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• High school and technical career desirable.

• Remain at the machine to assist the operator until first piece verification.
• Stage tooling, including heat-shrink, balancing, and pre-setting lengths.

Job description

Bocar US has an exciting opportunity for a CNC Technician. The technician will perform setup/changeovers on 5-acis horizontal mills. A setup will require the technician to load/unload tools, change out fixtures, and run the NC program. The technician will remain at the machine assisting the operator until first piece verification. After production has begun, the technician may need to assist the operator with any issues they have. The technician will also be required to stage the tooling for each job. Staging will include loading the tools with heat-shrink equipment, balancing, and pre-setting the length.
