Job summary

Bocar US in Huntsville, AL seeks a CNC Technician to perform setup and changeovers on 5-axis horizontal mills. You will load tools, change fixtures, and run NC programs, staying at the machine to support the operator through first piece verification.

As part of the team you will stage tooling, balance, and preset lengths, while coordinating with maintenance and operators to ensure smooth production. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• At least two years of relevant experience in a technician role in manufacturing.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and respectfully with all levels of staff.
• High school diploma and technical training are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup/changeovers on 5-axis horizontal mills.
• Load/unload tools and change fixtures; run NC programs.
• Assist operator after production has begun and help resolve issues.
• Stage tooling for each job, including heat-shrink, balancing, and preset lengths.

Job description

Bocar US has an exciting opportunity for a CNC Technician. The technician will perform setup/changeovers on 5-acis horizontal mills. A setup will require the technician to load/unload tools, change out fixtures, and run the NC program. The technician will remain at the machine assisting the operator until first piece verification. After production has begun, the technician may need to assist the operator with any issues they have. The technician will also be required to stage the tooling for each job. Staging will include loading the tools with heat-shrink equipment, balancing, and pre-setting the length.

• Trouble shooting/ problem solving
• Fixture changes ( will be trained)
• CNC set up
• Understanding of Tool offsets
• Knowledge of cutting tools
• CNC controls (e.g., Siemens, Fanuc, Mazatrol)
• Fully support and comply with all Bocar Group 5S and safety programs/initiatives.
• At least two years of relevant experience in a technician role in a manufacturing operation capacity.
• Coordination and organizing abilities required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and respectfully with company employees, vendors, contractors, and all levels of management.
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
• Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• High school and Technical career desirable
