Job summary

Bocar US has an exciting opportunity for a CNC Technician. The technician will perform setup/changeovers on 5-axis horizontal mills, loading/unloading tools, changing fixtures, and running NC programs. They will stay at the machine to support the operator until first piece verification and assist with issues after production begins.

Staging tooling with heat-shrink, balancing, and presetting lengths are required, along with strong problem-solving and teamwork to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant experience in a technician role in a manufacturing operation.
• Load/unload tools, change fixtures, and run NC programs during setups.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and operate in a team environment.
• Knowledge of CNC controls and cutting tools, and adherence to safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup/changeovers on 5-axis horizontal mills and run NC programs.
• Load/unload tools, change fixtures, stage tooling with heat-shrink equipment and preset lengths.
• Remain at the machine to support the operator until first piece verification.
• Assist the operator with issues after production begins and maintain tool staging.
• Support and comply with Bocar Group 5S and safety initiatives.

Job description

Bocar US has an exciting opportunity for a CNC Technician. The technician will perform setup/changeovers on 5-acis horizontal mills. A setup will require the technician to load/unload tools, change out fixtures, and run the NC program. The technician will remain at the machine assisting the operator until first piece verification. After production has begun, the technician may need to assist the operator with any issues they have. The technician will also be required to stage the tooling for each job. Staging will include loading the tools with heat-shrink equipment, balancing, and pre-setting the length.

• Trouble shooting/ problem solving
• Fixture changes ( will be trained)
• CNC set up
• Understanding of Tool offsets

• CNC controls (e.g., Siemens, Fanuc, Mazatrol)
• Fully support and comply with all Bocar Group 5S and safety programs/initiatives.
• At least two years of relevant experience in a technician role in a manufacturing operation capacity.
• Coordination and organizing abilities required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and respectfully with company employees, vendors, contractors, and all levels of management.
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
• Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• High school and Technical career desirable
