Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. seeks a CNC Tech II- 1st Shift at Fullerton, CA. Operate CNC machine tools under supervision, set up tooling per program, and verify first article samples. Qualifications

Two years related experience and/or training in machine shop operation running CNC equipment or equivalent education/experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
Understanding of cutting tools and G/M codes; cross-training to support facility goals.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC controlled machine tools under guidance of senior personnel.
Select and set proper tooling per program/tool layout.
Load and prove out program and run first article samples; adjust setup as needed.
Complete documentation for each setup (SPC charts, setup checklist, first article verification).
Run, monitor and troubleshoot equipment in production; adjust setup as required.
Monitor tool life and dimensional characteristics; replenish tooling as directed.
Lift up to 30 lbs and read blueprints with precision instruments.
Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with EHS policies.
Perform other duties of equal or lesser skill as required.
