Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Franklin, MA seeks a CNC Lead to guide a machining team toward safe, consistent production. You will assign tools, mentor new hires, edit G-code, and coordinate setup/startup, with a focus on ISO-like quality and on-time handoffs.

You’ll drive lean initiatives, validate parts with standard inspection tools, keep records, and report performance to supervision. The role blends leadership with hands-on coding, tool selection, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Comfortable with CNC machine tools and functions; skilled in programming/editing for lathe and/or milling machines.
• Knowledgeable across metal fabrication, assembly, and related equipment.
• Fluent in lean principles and practical application.
• Solid math skills, including basic trigonometry.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation come naturally.

Responsibilities

• Lead CNC machining team for safe, efficient production.
• Coordinate assignments and machine start-up/shutdown.
• Validate quality with standard inspection instruments.
• Edit programs and resolve tooling issues to maintain flow.
• Share performance insights with supervision and tackle administrative tasks.
• Train and mentor team members; assess and develop talent.
• Explore new machining methods and CNC programming enhancements.
• Lead by example in safety, cost, output, and compliance.
