Qualdoc is seeking a CNC Structural Steel Machine Operator in York, PA for a contract-to-hire, second shift. You will set up and run CNC coping and cutting equipment to process structural steel components, read blueprints, and verify tolerances with precision measuring tools.

The role requires at least 2 years of CNC experience, familiarity with crane and forklift handling, and a strong focus on safety and quality in a manufacturing environment. Competitive starting pay with shift differential.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of CNC machine operation experience.
• CNC coping machine or structural steel beam line experience strongly preferred.
• Structural steel fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Experience with machine setup, tooling changes, and basic CNC troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with tape measures, calipers, squares, and other measuring tools.
• Familiarity with overhead cranes, forklifts, and steel material handling.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload steel using overhead cranes and forklifts.

• Change tooling, make basic machine adjustments, and troubleshoot operating issues.
• Complete routine machine maintenance and follow production schedules.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while meeting quality standards.

Schedule and Pay

This is a second-shift, contract-to-hire opportunity in York, PA. Starting pay is $22.00 per hour, with higher pay available depending on experience, up to $23.00 per hour. An additional $3.00 per hour shift differential is provided for second shift.
