Job summary

Indiana Steel Fabricating Inc in Indianapolis is seeking a full-time CNC operator to run beam line machinery for cutting, drilling, coping, and marking, and to interpret structural steel drawings.

You will load and unload with overhead cranes, perform setup and quality checks, and maintain a clean, safe work area in a fast-paced industrial shop. Preferred: 2+ years in steel fabrication; OSHA 10; CNC programming or troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Experience operating structural steel beam line machines (Peddinghaus, PythonX, Ficep, or similar).
• Ability to read and interpret structural steel shop drawings.
• Familiarity with fabrication tolerances and measurement tools.
• Ability to safely use overhead cranes, rigging, and forklifts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable attendance in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in industrial shop conditions.
• Preferred: 2+ years in steel fabrication.
• Preferred: CNC programming or machine troubleshooting.
• Preferred: OSHA 10 or similar safety certification.
