Paxton Countertops in Lansing, MI is seeking skilled stone fabrication operators to join our growing family-owned team. You will operate Baca Robo Saw and profiling machines to cut to shop drawings, shape edges, and polish details.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred 2 years Stone Sawyer/Machine Operator experience.
• Read shop drawings and diagrams from manual or CAD program.
• Follow directions and coordinate with other workers in the shop.
• Works well under pressure and meets deadlines.
• Experience with machinery and tools used in granite fabrication.
• Skilled craftsman with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate Baca Robo Saw to cut to shop drawings and layouts.
• Operate profiling machines to shape and polish edge details.
• Safely cut and polish sink holes to templates.
• Use tools to safely grind and polish edges with portable power tools.
• Fill small chips and perform touch ups.
• Self inspect work upon completion.
• Meet quality expectations set forth by Management for all work performed.
• Meet production expectations set forth by Management for all work performed.
• Coordinate with the Supervisor for issues regarding discrepancies or mistakes.
