Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart, located in Omaha, Nebraska, is hiring a CNC Operator/Programmer for the countertops fabrication shop. You will program and run the dual-table CNC Sawjet system, ensuring precise cuts and efficient workflow on raw stone slabs.

Ideal candidates have CNC operation experience, knowledge of AlphaCAM, and familiarity with Slabsmith and Moraware. This is a full-time role with competitive pay and benefits in a busy production environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
2 years’ experience in the operation of CNC machines preferred.
2 years’ experience in executing CNC machine programming using AlphaCAM.
Maintenance experience preferred.
Knowledge of inventory software such as Slabsmith, Moraware.
Knowledge of stone countertop materials (quartz/granite/marble).
One year experience in countertop fabrication or related field.
Lift test required: ability to lift, push, pull required weights per established requirements for the department.
Computer skills and MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Pre-employment screening includes respirator fit test, Chest X-ray, and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Monitor material selection, orientation, and quality before each cutting operation.
Read and interpret production drawings to create CNC programs for cuts.
Determine cutting sequences and processes based on schedule and material.
Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, hand grinders per safety standards.
Load raw slabs, unload finished pieces, remove waste, coordinate with shop teams.
