Job summary

Columbus McKinnon is seeking a Shop Supervisor to direct operations in machining, welding, painting and assembly, overseeing a 12+ person CNC/ manufacturing crew to meet safety, quality, output and on-time shipments.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing and 3+ years in a supervisory capacity, plus experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar), MS Office, OEE, QMS documentation, SOP development, 5S, and a schedule from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM with overtime.

Qualifications

5+ years in manufacturing/industrial environment.
3+ years in a supervisory role.
Ability to clearly communicate with specific data and details.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or similar.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
Experience with production metrics such as OEE%.
Experience with a QMS and quality documentation (NCR, CAR, RCA).
Experience with developing SOPs and coordinating 5S events.

Responsibilities

Direct, supervise, and coordinate operations in machining, welding, painting, and assembly.
Oversee a crew of 12+ team members and ensure safety, quality, and on-time shipments.
Coordinate with QA, Engineering, Planning, and Purchasing to improve processes and reduce costs.
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
Promote LEAN/OPEX and continuous improvement initiatives.
