Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking a Plant Supervisor – CNC Manufacturing in Grand Rapids, MI to lead CNC machining operations and a shop-floor team. The role emphasizes safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years hands-on CNC experience with Swiss-style machines and 1–2+ years in a supervisory role, preferably in aerospace or medical manufacturing, and a solid ability to read drawings and manage production flow.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on CNC machining experience.
• Experience with Swiss-style CNC machines.
• 1–2+ years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience in aerospace and/or medical manufacturing.
• Strong background in precision and tight-tolerance machining.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of shop-floor operations, quality, safety, and production flow.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage CNC machinists, operators, and production employees.
• Set daily production priorities and keep work on schedule.
• Monitor productivity, quality, downtime, and on-time delivery.
• Work with quality, maintenance, engineering, and management to resolve production issues.
• Drive 5S, safety, training, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Coach employees, address performance issues, and support team development.
• Help minimize scrap, rework, downtime, and production delays.
• Ensure equipment, tooling, materials, and manpower are aligned with production needs.
