Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Process Engineer in Grand Rapids, MI to support a growing precision machining operation serving aerospace, medical, and commercial industries.

This hands-on role requires Swiss CNC machining expertise and the ability to improve processes, not just maintain them. You will program Swiss lathes, develop processes, and train operators while collaborating with quality and production teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Swiss CNC programming experience.
• Experience with Citizen, Star, Tsugami, Tornos, or similar Swiss equipment.
• CAD/CAM programming experience; Esprit preferred.
• Strong GD&T and blueprint-reading skills.
• Experience with tight-tolerance precision machining.
• Strong troubleshooting and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Program and set up Swiss CNC lathes
• Develop and improve machining processes
• Reduce cycle times, scrap, and downtime
• Select tooling, speeds, and feeds
• Troubleshoot machining and production issues
• Read blueprints and interpret GD&T
• Support and train CNC operators
• Partner with quality and production teams to improve performance
