Qualifications

• Must have comprehensive knowledge of all equipment in the machine shop.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• At least ten years of CNC and conventional setup knowledge and operation.
• Vocational training in machining/manufacturing preferred.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills.
• First article lay out skills.
• Good math skills.
• Experience with ERP software.
• Strong background in inspection of aerospace parts and forgings.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with others.
• Ability to edit and write CNC programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operations performed by personnel under supervision.
• Ensure safety and lean work environment; follow policies and ethics.
• Approve CNC program updates and maintain program files.
• Plan workload and assign tasks to meet on-time delivery (OTD).
• Coordinate with inspection and quality teams for priorities.
• Provide training and motivation to machine shop staff.
• Support other departments and participate in technical meetings.
