Job summary

RegO, a premier manufacturer of gas control products, seeks Setup Technicians for our Whitsett, NC facility. You will read blueprints, set up manual and CNC mills/lathes to produce valve and regulator parts, and ensure product quality through measurement checks.

Role emphasizes safety, basic math, and problem solving in a production environment, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and interpret machining symbols.
• Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, and basic shop mathematics.
• Ability to read measurements and use calipers, micrometers, and gages.

Responsibilities

• Sets up manual/CNC and mill/lathe machines to produce valve and regulator parts.
• Starts machines, positions workpieces, and manages feeding and lubrication.
• Reads blueprints and interprets tolerance and surface finish requirements.
• Detects defects, troubleshoots machine malfunctions, and makes adjustments.
• Replaces dull tooling and deburrs parts after machining.
• Performs quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and gages and records data in SPC system.
• Participates in 6S and Kaizen initiatives to improve safety and efficiency.
