Express Employment Professionals in Elgin, IL is seeking an experienced CNC Setup specialist to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and optimize multiple CNC machines used for precision components. You will collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety compliance.

The role requires 4+ years of CNC setup/operation experience (prefer Fanuc controls), proficiency with lathes, mills, laser cutters, press brakes, routers, and related equipment, plus blueprints

Qualifications

• 4+ years CNC setup and operation experience, preferably with Fanuc controls.
• Experience with CNC lathes, mills, laser cutters, press brakes, routers, and other metal fabrication equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and use micrometers, gauges, comparators, and other precision measuring tools.
• Experience machining stainless steel and non-ferrous materials; CAD/CAM knowledge is a plus.
• Strong math, communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills with a focus on quality and security.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Mori Seiki, Takisawa, and Hyundai CNC lathes to manufacture precision components while maintaining quality and production standards.
• Set up and run Takumi and Hurco CNC mills, Bridgeport mills, and a Mega Gundrilling machine to produce parts to blueprint specifications.
• Operate Bystronic and Amada press brakes, along with Trumpf and Bystronic laser cutters, to support fabrication and production requirements.
• Utilize CR Onsrud CNC routers and Hydmech saws for material processing, cutting, and machining operations.
• Perform tooling changes, machine adjustments, program edits, first-piece inspections, and quality checks using precision measuring equipment.
