With direction from the Cell Lead, you gather and prep tooling and workholding per the supplied work instructions. You set up a CNC mill and/or CNC lathe, load the program, and produce the first part. You verify the setup and confirm the first-piece meets print using micrometers, calipers, and your knowledge of GD&T. If anything looks off in the program or the part, you alert your supervisor immediately.Once the run is underway, you keep a close eye on part conformity—making tool offsets as conditions change and maintaining proper coolant levels. You deburr parts, complete in-process inspection forms, and prepare components for downstream operations. When quality approves part geometry, you may install hardware such as standoffs and helicoils. Throughout, you keep the cell organized and support other assigned tasks to keep production flowing.Core responsibilitiesMaintain a safe, clean, organized work area in accordance with OSHA guidelines.Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision components from customer drawings, internal sketches, and other instructions.Prep tools and workholding per Cell Lead work instructions; validate part conformance after setup.Escalate any program or part issues to your supervisor without delay.Monitor quality during the run; make tool offsets and sustain acceptable coolant levels.Perform basic deburring; fill out in-process inspection paperwork; prep parts for additional operations.Install hardware after QA approval of part geometry; perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age (required for work in a manufacturing environment).3–5+ years of CNC mill and/or lathe setup and operation; Haas experience preferred.Proven ability to set up and run Vertical and Horizontal Machining Centers; multi‑axis (up to 5‑axis) preferred.Proficiency with hand metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).Skilled at reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T.Able to stand for extended periods.Comfortable machining a variety of materials: steel, aluminum, stainless, plastics, titanium, copper, brass, and more.Strong math skills preferred.Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, challenging environment.Familiarity with CAD/CAM is a plus.Experience installing hardware, including standoffs and helicoils, preferred.General computer proficiency preferred.
