A day in the lifeYou arrive on the floor, review setup sheets and job travelers, then stage material for a CNC lathe or vertical mill. You load parts, cycle the machine, and verify key dimensions with calipers and micrometers. As parts run, you listen for unusual sounds or vibration, watch chip load and finishes, and flag any tool wear or broken inserts to the lead machinist right away. Between runs, you help with work-holding swaps and tooling changes, keep your cell clean and organized, track part counts, and record production notes. PPE stays on, safety comes first, and every detail matters.About JWC Machine and FabBased in Mobile, AL, JWC is a precision CNC shop known for tight-tolerance industrial components.
