Kyocera SGS Precision Tools in Ohio is seeking a CNC Set-Up Operator to ensure precise setup and operation of CNC and manual machines. You will troubleshoot, inspect, and optimize performance in a lean manufacturing environment with hands-on training on the first shift before transitioning to the regular third shift.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, English communication, strong attention to detail, and a team-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train on first shift - 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, before beginning the regular 3rd shift schedule.
• Team-player mindset with commitment to quality and efficiency.
• Previous CNC or tool grinding experience is a plus, but we will train the right candidate!

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust CNC machines to meet product specifications; maintain feeds and speeds; dress and balance diamond wheels as needed; use machine software to improve efficiency.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools and interpret drawings; ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and modify programming parameters; identify and correct setup issues; collaborate with other departments to improve equipment and processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; train new associates on setup and operating functions.
• Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and minor repairs to ensure machine reliability.
• Complete inspection reports, job tracking, and production logs per company policies.
