Job summary

A Hiring Company is seeking a hands-on 2nd Shift CNC Setup Technician to support manufacturing operations. This role focuses on setting up CNC machines, troubleshooting issues, adjusting tooling and offsets, and assisting operators to maintain efficient production.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on CNC setup and troubleshooting experience and familiarity with Okuma, FANUC, and/or Haas controls. This position involves working on a second shift and coordinating with Quality and Production

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC setup and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with multiple CNC control platforms is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision tools.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines using setup sheets, instructions, blueprints, and programs.
• Load and run existing CNC programs as required.
• Adjust tooling, fixtures, offsets, and tool offsets as needed.
• Perform tool changes and compensations for wear or dimension changes.
• Troubleshoot setup, tooling, and machining issues to minimize downtime.
• Interact with Okuma, FANUC, and Haas controls for setups and adjustments.
• Read blueprints and documentation to verify accuracy before production.
