Summary of Duties

• Troubleshoot, develop, and problem-solve during machining, measuring, and assembly processes.
• Notify the Work Group leader of issues affecting quality and delivery.
• Measure and machine parts to defined tolerances.
• Assist in training other department personnel.
• Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
• Use statistical process controls to ensure parts meet customer quality requirements.
• Adjust or correct existing setups, change or alter tools to maintain quality, and make repairs according to specifications.
• Communicate with engineering, vendors, machine attendants, and internal/external customers.
• Provide training for associates as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Be trained in and perform multiple work assignments.
• Set up and prepare tooling per work instructions.
• Set up and operate equipment necessary for machining component parts to print.

Qualifications

• Operate and set up all department CNC equipment related to machining, measuring, and assembly of housings.
• Possess computer skills, writing, reading, and math skills.
• Pass or hold STRATTEC operator driver’s license for power-driven vehicles.
• Complete testing for mechanical aptitude, quality auditing, math, and gaging.
