Summary of Duties

1. Troubleshoot, develop, and problem-solve during machining, measuring, and assembly processes.
2. Notify the Work Group leader of issues affecting quality and delivery.
3. Measure and machine parts to defined tolerances.
4. Assist in training other department personnel.
5. Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
6. Use statistical process controls to ensure part quality meets customer requirements.
7. Adjust or correct existing setups, change or alter tools to maintain quality, and make repairs according to specifications.
8. Communicate with engineering, vendors, machine attendants, and internal/external customers.
9. Provide training for associates as needed.
10. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
11. Perform multiple work assignments as trained.
12. Set up and prepare necessary tooling per work instructions.
13. Set up and operate equipment to machine component parts to print specifications.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate and set up all department CNC equipment related to machining, measuring, and assembly of housings.
• Computer skills.
• Writing skills.
• Reading skills.
• Mathematical skills.
• Must pass or hold STRATTEC operator driver’s license for power-driven vehicles.
• Successful completion of testing requirements for mechanical aptitude, quality auditing, math, and gaging.
