Job summary

CoorsTek is seeking a CNC Set-Up I for the weekend days (Fri-Sun, 6am-6pm) to load and adjust preset CNC programs and operate manufacturing equipment. You will work in a team to meet goals and maintain a clean work area.

The role requires basic education and three years of experience; CAD/CAM and GD&T knowledge are important. Weekend hours and safety PPE are part of daily duties. Compensation ranges from USD 20.57 to 27.16 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and drawings.
• Basic math skills including algebra and geometry.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines by downloading preset programs and making minor adjustments.
• Operate CNC equipment to produce conforming parts per work instructions.
• Inspect in-process parts and report deviations.
• Perform basic machine adjustments (offsets, taper settings) and routine maintenance.
• Move products using hand-truck, pallet jack, forklift, crane, or hoist.
• Maintain clean and safe work area; follow PPE requirements.

Job Title CNC Set-Up I - 849 - Days (Weekend Shift Fr/Sat/Sun- 6a-6p) Responsible for loading and making minor adjustments to preset CNC programs and operating manufacturing machinery to produce acceptable product. Works within a team environment to meet departmental goals. Maintains work area cleanliness.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CNC machinery set-up function by downloading preset CNC programs; make minor adjustments to CNC programs to direct sequence of machine operation
• Operate CNC manufacturing equipment to produce acceptable product per work instructions
• Inspect parts for defects as part of in-process inspection; record results and notify appropriate person of deviation when needed
• Perform basic machine adjustments such as off-sets or setting tapers and basic preventative maintenance such as changing coolants, filters, etc.
• Stack and transport product via hand-truck, pallet jack, forklift, crane, or hoist
• Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment
• Wears required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatory

Job Requirements

• Shift: Weekend Shift Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 6:00am - 6:00pm 12 hour shifts
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
• Experience: Three (3) year relevant experience
• Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions Intermediate math (algebra, geometry) and computer skills Ability to learn, understand and utilize CAD/CAM programs and G and M codes Ability to understand and use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening skills Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds

Target Hiring Range Hourly: USD 20.57 - USD 27.16 Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
