Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a CNC Programmer/Operator to run and write programs for a CNC router, create toolpaths, and machine EVA foam, acrylic, Starboard (HDPE), and aluminum. You will read CAD files, interpret drawings, and iterate on setups to ensure high-quality finishes.

Experience with CAM software and 3D printing is advantageous. The role involves collaboration with service teams and customers to meet specifications and timelines, with a strong emphasis on quality craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC programming and operating experience (router experience preferred) or pursuing engineering degree.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software; Fusion 360 is a plus but not required.
• Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling selection, and material behavior.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate a 4x8 CNC router.
• Create and modify toolpaths using CAM software.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
