Job summary

Signworks is seeking an experienced CNC router operator to translate shop drawings into router-ready programs and to stage, secure, and configure materials for high-quality routing. The role requires attention to detail, familiarity with sign fabrication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with fabrication, paint, and assembly teams to ensure on-time routing and minimal scrap.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC routers and interpreting shop drawings.
• Ability to read layouts and cut sheets for routing.
• Knowledge of sign materials and fabrication practices.
• Basic computer literacy and tidy file management.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfort lifting 50+ lbs in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities

• Translate drawings and production files into router-ready programs.
• Stage and secure materials and configure feeds, speeds, and tooling.
• Run jobs, monitor performance, and fine-tune settings to maintain quality.
• Inspect output and coordinate with production supervisor for fixes.
• Support broader workflow with fabrication, paint, and assembly; manage materials.
• Perform preventive care: bit changes, cleaning, lubrication, dust collection and waste handling.
