Job summary

Excel Boat Company is seeking a factory/production worker to operate router tables and cut boats to specification. You will program routers, set up heights and homes, read calipers, and collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot issues.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, forklift/crane familiarity, and the ability to lift heavy parts in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with prior fabrication experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High school or GED preferred.
• Experience with CNC routers, plasma, laser, or brakes preferred.
• Ability to read calipers and use a tape measure.
• Comfort with basic computer use and troubleshooting in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate router tables to cut boats to production goals.
• Program routers and set up heights, depths and homes as directed.
• Read calipers and use a tape measure for precision.
• Troubleshoot machines and nesting programs with engineering input.
• Operate the shear and assist with forklift and crane operations as needed.
• Unload shipments and organize parts on racks.
• Conduct tool-cleaning and routine maintenance.
