Job summary

Sportsman Boats is seeking a CNC operator to run CNC machines for cutting materials while meeting production goals and quality standards. The position follows a Mon-Thu schedule from 5:00 am to 3:45 pm, with potential overtime based on production needs.

Responsibilities include operating CNC equipment, maintaining documentation, and assisting in upholstery areas as required. Prior CNC experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of CNC operator experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
• Experience using small hand tools.
• Knowledge of material cutting, sewing, upholstery, and foam assembly is a plus.
• Ability to follow schedules and work independently or in a team.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Transport materials to different areas of the CNC shop.
• Inspect machined products and document results.
• Complete and maintain paperwork for parts.
• Assist in upholstery department as needed.

What you will do:

• Performall assigned CNC operations meeting daily and weekly production goals while maintaining high-quality standards
• Detectand reportdefective materials or questionable conditions to management
• Maintainthe work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures
• Transport materials to different areas of the CNC shop
• Performinspection of machined productsand document results
• Completeand maintainpaperwork for parts
• Assistin other work areas in upholstery department as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum one year of experience as a CNC operator in a fast-paced manufacturing facility
• Experience using small hand tools
• Knowledgeable in the areas of material cutting, sewing, upholstery, and foam assembly
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to follow schedules
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision
• Advanced verbal communication skills
• Advanced time management and organizational skills
• High School diploma or equivalent

PreferredExperience:

• Experience working with wood, leather, fiberglass, and vinyl in the marine industry
• Experience using the Eastman, Axyz, 3-Axis, or 5 Axis and Router systems

This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. This role routine wear protective clothing and masks.
