Job summary

Orion Castings seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure reliability, performance, and efficiency of production equipment and facilities. You will perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance and contribute to equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities include maintaining machine tools, sourcing parts, and supporting robotic projects within CNC and Die Cast departments. CMMS usage and safety are emphasized in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Education: 2-year tech degree, and/or 5 years of related work experience.
• Experience with CNC equipment is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Minitab.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance instructions, manuals, prints, blueprints, and electrical/pneumatic schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance on machine tools including cleaning, lubrication, filter changes, belt replacement, adjustments, and basic repairs.
• Source repair parts and maintain Spare Parts inventory.
• Assist in occasional robotic projects in the CNC and Die Cast departments
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of CMMS program
• Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department
• Maintain clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and utilization.
