Job summary

Orion Castings is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, rebuild and repair work on all equipment in the facility to support production needs. A high skill level in one or more of electrical/electronics, pneumatics & hydraulic systems, or millwright is required, with the ability to train others.

You will move dies with a forklift, assemble/disassemble dies, troubleshoot electrical control circuits and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and repair furnaces, transformers and pumps.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required or preferred.
• Must read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and electrical systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Move dies and components to the shop floor using a forklift.
• Organize mold storage and designated die areas.
• Disassemble and assemble dies under supervision.
• Repair and rebuild dies and related components.
• Troubleshoot electrical control circuits and electrical systems.
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems and repairs.
• Repair gas-fired and electrical furnaces and related equipment.
• Repair PLC hardware for Die Cast and plant equipment.
• Maintain water cooling and plant air systems.
• Follow OSHA safety rules and Orion Castings policies.
