Job summary

TurbineAero is seeking a talented manufacturing engineer to oversee and improve manufacturing processes from quoting and tooling design to CNC programming and writing work instructions. You will validate developed processes with first article, drive cost efficiency and quality, provide technical support to shop personnel, and ensure throughput while conforming to specifications.

The role requires strong attention to detail, ability to interpret blueprints, and clear technical communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant discipline (preferred).
• Previous work experience as a Machinist, CNC programmer (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret design blueprints and manufacturing operation travelers.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Strong organization skills.
• Extensive experience with computer modeling software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical thinker.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and to collaborate with others.
• Ability to complete projects on time and to specification.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Ability to work after-hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models.
• Inputting the product design into the computer modeling software.
• Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job.
• Adjusting machine settings to the desired product specifications.
• Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process.
• Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.
• Using CAD or AutoCAD to analyze existing tooling designs and improve on them.
• Developing blueprints for new tooling designs as per client or project specifications.
• Sharing designs with colleagues and implementing any relevant feedback in the new designs.
• Creating blueprints and designs using CAD or AutoCAD.
• Drawing up schedules and budgets for higher level projects.
• Evaluating existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement.
• Determining problem resolutions and implementing improvements.
• Researching and developing new processes, equipment, and products.
• Developing and implementing cost-saving measures and quality control systems.
• Writing technical documentation for machine operators.
