Job summary

Eaton’s Power Reliability Division is seeking an ME Technician for the South Milwaukee, WI facility. This role will involve programming, proving out, and implementing machining processes across the plant, with fluency in CNC programming, tooling identification, and fixturing design.

The position requires reading machining and engineering prints, setup expertise, and collaboration with Quality and Engineering for troubleshooting and new product development.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5+ years of reading machining and engineering prints.
• Minimum 5+ years of machine setup experience and fixture installation.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position; only candidates within 50 miles will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Program, prove out, and implement machining processes that impact production.
• Fluently program CNC controllers, identify tooling, design fixturing and complete standard work.
• Assist or lead training and development of machinists as assigned.
• Maintain setup sheets and other standard work documents.
• Make programs and adjustments for CNC machines; troubleshoot programming issues.
• Operate and maintain multiple types of machines for trial runs and fixture creation.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering on troubleshooting and new product development.
• Coordinate with production planning to align work centers with production demands.
• Identify required tooling for new machine processes.
