Eaton’s South Milwaukee, WI facility is seeking a Programmer/ME Technician on 1st shift. The role involves programming, proving out, and implementing machining processes that impact production across the site.

You will fluently program CNC controllers, select tooling, design fixturing, and create standard work. The position requires 5+ years reading machining and engineering prints, and strong setup experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years reading machining and engineering prints.
• 5+ years machine setup and fixture installation.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit; reside within 50 miles of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Program, prove out, and implement machining processes that impact production.
• Fluently program CNC controllers and identify tooling.
• Design fixturing and complete standard work.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineer with department projects.
• Lead training and development of machinists as assigned.
• Maintain setup sheets and standard work documents.
• Make programs and adjustments for CNC machines.
• Troubleshoot programming issues.
• Operate multiple machines for trials and fixture creation.
• Support quality and engineering with troubleshooting and new product development.
• Coordinate with production planning to meet production demands.
• Identify tooling requirements for new processes.
