SteveRecruiter, LLC is recruiting a CNC Programmer to support sheet metal fabrication through CNC programming, process planning, and cost estimating. The role involves hands-on programming, interpreting engineering drawings, and collaborating with production, sales, quality, and shipping teams.

The ideal candidate has CNC programming experience in sheet metal fabrication, proficiency with CAD software, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• CNC programming experience in sheet metal fabrication.
• Proficiency with CAD software and CNC programming languages.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, tooling, and materials.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for laser cutting, punching, press brake, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and customer specifications to determine manufacturing requirements.
• Select tooling, materials, and production methods to improve efficiency and minimize waste.
• Design manufacturing fixtures as needed.
• Establish manufacturing routings in accordance with standards.
• Coordinate with production to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates based on material, labor, machine time, and outside services.
• Review customer drawings for manufacturability and production requirements.
• Support the sales team with timely quotations.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports and Certificates of Conformance.
• Verify documentation and finished products meet customer specifications and standards.
• Document nonconformances and support corrective actions.
• Assist with internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate packaging and shipment of finished goods and prepare shipping documentation.
