Job summary

MPI is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot programs for mills, lathes, and multi‑axis machines in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You will work with advanced tooling and GD&T specs to deliver high‑precision components while driving continuous improvements and process efficiencies.

The role partners with Manufacturing Engineers and Machinists to refine tooling strategies, reduce cycle times, and ensure quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi‑axis machining centers.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T requirements, and specifications to create machining programs.
  • Collaborate with engineers and machinists to troubleshoot and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Select tooling and determine cutting parameters to maximize efficiency and tool life.
  • Support new product introductions with process development and first‑article runs.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and lean manufacturing practices throughout programming.

  • Experience programming and supporting CNC mills, lathes, multi-axis machining centers, or high-precision manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of improving machining processes, cycle times, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Technical degree, machining certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in CNC manufacturing, precision machining, or engineering.
