Job summary

Linked, LLC in Fraser, MI seeks a skilled CNC Programmer to join our CNC/Manufacturing team. You will develop and modify CNC programs, support machine setups, and ensure components meet engineering specifications and GD&T requirements.

The ideal candidate will program CNC equipment from drawings and CAD/CAM models, review blueprints, select tools, and optimize processes to improve part quality and productivity. This full-time role offers a 2nd shift and contract-to-hire potential.

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Full-Time | 2nd Shift
Start Time: 2:30 PM
Pay: $38.00/hour

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join the CNC/Manufacturing team. This position will be responsible for developing and modifying CNC programs, supporting machine setups, and ensuring precision-machined components meet engineering and customer specifications.

The ideal candidate will have experience programming CNC equipment in a precision manufacturing environment and be comfortable working from engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for precision-machined components.
  • Program CNC machinery based on engineering drawings, CAD models, and customer specifications.
  • Review blueprints and GD&T requirements to determine machining processes and dimensions.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies.
  • Support CNC machine setups and troubleshoot programming or machining issues.
  • Make program adjustments to improve part quality, cycle time, and machine efficiency.
  • Work closely with machinists, engineering, and quality personnel to resolve production issues.
  • Review first-piece and inspection results and make programming adjustments as needed.
  • Support production runs and ensure programs meet quality and production requirements.
  • Maintain and organize CNC programs, revisions, and related documentation.
  • Assist with tooling selection and machining process development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve machining processes and reduce scrap and downtime.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a CNC Programmer in a precision machining or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience programming CNC machining equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
  • Experience working with CAD/CAM software.
  • Knowledge of cutting tools, tooling selection, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot CNC programming and machining issues.
  • Experience supporting CNC setups and production operations.
  • Ability to work with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel.
  • Strong understanding of precision machining and dimensional requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple programming priorities.
  • CNC machining, tooling, and inspection experience preferred.
