Job summary

Top Echelon LLC in New York is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join an aerospace manufacturing client. You will develop, test, and optimize CNC programs for milling operations, collaborating with Engineering, Production, and Quality to ensure precision and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years' CNC programming experience, strong CAD/CAM skills, and the ability to read GD&T drawings.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree preferred (Engineering or Manufacturing Technology).
  • Minimum 5 years CNC programming experience.
  • Strong experience programming CNC milling machines.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and CNC programming.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • CATIA experience and Epicor ERP experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create and optimize CNC programs for milling operations.
  • Program custom components and tooling for production applications.
  • Develop machining methods and tooling strategies.
  • Set up and support CNC milling machines during production.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and validate CNC programs on production equipment.

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve machining efficiency.
  • Maintain programming documentation and revision control.
  • Support process improvements to reduce cycle times and improve quality.
  • Ensure all programs meet safety, quality, and customer requirements.

Position Summary

The CNC Programmer will develop, test, and optimize CNC machining programs used to manufacture precision components.
