Job summary

Plasser American Corp. seeks a CNC Programmer to develop and optimize CNC programs for precision railway components in Chesapeake, VA. You will interpret engineering drawings, select tooling, and ensure safe, efficient machining while collaborating with machinists and engineers.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, reduced scrap, and adherence to quality standards in a manufacturing environment. Previous Mastercam experience is preferred, with strong GD&T knowledge and tooling

Qualifications

• Must interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, tolerances and specifications.
• Experience with machining processes, tooling, and process optimization.
• Knowledge of GD&T and inspection concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, verify, and optimize CNC programs for precision components.
• Review programs for accuracy, tool paths, and tolerances before production.
• Troubleshoot machining/programming issues with machinists and engineers.
• Document and maintain CNC program files and setup information.
