Job summary

Boston Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Operator to support robotics manufacturing by programming and optimizing CNC machines for precision robotic components.

You will work from engineering drawings and CAD models to develop machining instructions for tight-tolerance parts such as housings and brackets, ensuring compatibility with downstream robotic assembly. Responsibilities include selecting tooling and parameters, creating and adjusting programs for lathes and mills, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
• 3+ years CNC programming and machining in robotics/advanced manufacturing.
• Exposure to ISO 9001/AS9100 or regulated quality systems is a plus.
• Experience with lean tools is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs and machine setups for lathes and mills.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T, and CAD models for robotics assemblies.
• Recommend tooling, cutting parameters, and materials for precision parts.
• Assist in designing fixtures for automation and robotic handling.
• Conduct test runs and verify geometric accuracy.
• Set up, program edits, and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision parts.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to troubleshoot program issues.
• Follow safety and cleanliness protocols in high-tech manufacturing.
