Job summary

JOBOT is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Operator to program, setup, and operate CNC lathes and related equipment for precision Machining. The role requires reading blueprints and GD&T specifications, selecting tooling, and performing first article inspections to ensure quality.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of CNC experience and strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, tooling offsets, and machine setup. 1st shift hours are 6:30–3:00pm with benefits including medical, 401(k), and growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years of CNC machining experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, tooling offsets, and machine setup.
• Strong math skills for fractions, decimals, measurements, and basic machining calculations.
• Understanding of tolerances, feeds/speeds, and machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Program, setup, and operate CNC lathes and related equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Select tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters for optimal production efficiency.
• Perform first article inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and programming issues to minimize downtime.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain part quality.
• Maintain production efficiency while meeting quality and safety expectations.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve machining processes and cycle times.
