The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of CNC programming/operating experience, reads complex drawings, and can work independently with strong problem-solving and organization skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with a technical school education and working machinist knowledge or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of CNC machine tool programming and operating experience.
• Numerical control machining skills and ability to read and interpret machine drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC equipment and write or edit programs for lathes, mills, drills and other tooling.
• Maintain tolerances within .0003 inches and follow written and verbal procedures.
• Work from routings, prints and instructions; adapt machine parameters per supervisor guidance.
• Inspect produced parts with micrometers, bore gauges and calipers to verify specs.
• Ensure safety compliance and report equipment issues to supervision.
• Keep work area clean and maintain proper labor and time reporting.
• Perform additional duties as required and per branch needs.
• Operate a minimum of 2 CNC machine tools and potentially perform manual machining as needed.
