Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical school training and machinist knowledge.
• Minimum 3 years of CNC machine tool programming and operating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret machine drawings.
• Able to perform mathematical calculations and solve basic technical problems.
• CNC programmer/operator compensated based on expertise and efficiency.
• Can operate at least two CNC machine tools.
• Previous manual machinist experience is a plus.
• Detail oriented with independent judgment and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up, write programs, edit existing programs, and operate CNC machines (lathes and mills).
• Maintain tolerances within .0003” and follow procedures from routings and prints.
• Work from work orders, prints, sketches, and verbal instructions.
• Learn/adapt programming languages per machine and adjust parameters as directed.
• Inspect work with micrometers, bore gauges, calipers to verify specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance and report equipment issues to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and manage time reports.
• Handle multiple priorities and complete tasks timely.
