Job summary

Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking a CNC Programmer/Operator to read blueprints, program CNC machines, and setup tools for production. You will operate a Haas VF-8/40 milling machine and perform quality checks to ensure precision and efficiency.

The role requires 1+ year of CNC experience, an eye for detail, and the ability to work independently on second shift. Training and safety standards are emphasized, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements and parameters.
• Proficient in programming CNC machines and using CAD/CAM software to create machining instructions.
• Experience with HAAS VF-8/40 machines is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements and parameters
• Program CNC machines using SolidWorks and FeatureCAM to create precise instructions
• Set up CNC machines by installing tools and loading raw materials for production
• Operate CNC Milling machine Haas VF-8/40 to meet specifications
• Adjust machine settings and calibrate equipment to meet product specifications
• Perform quality checks and first article inspections on machined parts
• Maintain and clean CNC machines and document maintenance activities
• Manage and remove scrap material to keep workspace efficient
