Job summary

Topeka Foundry & Iron Works is seeking a CNC Programmer to read blueprints, develop machine programs, and support automation improvements across multiple facilities. This role requires hands-on use of Mastercam/Vericut and close collaboration with production teams to meet tight tolerances.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years CNC machining experience, a programming background, and a solid grasp of measurement devices to ensure quality.

Qualifications

2 years CNC programming experience required; 5 years preferred.
CNC Programmer certification or engineering/math/CS degree preferred.
4 years CNC Machining experience required.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Working knowledge of calibrated measurement devices required.
Proficient in Mastercam/Vericut or similar programs required.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints.
Create program instructions for machine and tooling shop using Mastercam/Vericut or similar programs.
Work with team to create efficiencies, improve automation, and increase machining flexibility.
Follow specific standards and reach tight tolerances using tooling knowledge.
