Job summary

PacAero Agawam is seeking a CNC Programmer III with strong Mastercam expertise to program 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling machines on the shop floor. You will partner with machinists to prove-out, troubleshoot, and optimize complex parts for aerospace, defense, and medical components on site in Agawam, MA.

The role requires hands-on programming, toolpath development, GD&T interpretation, and strong collaboration across Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production to ensure high-quality,

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of progressive CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Advanced Mastercam programming experience required.
• Demonstrated experience programming 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling machines required.
• Strong hands-on machining background including setup, prove-outs, and troubleshooting.
• Advanced understanding of multi-axis machining strategies, toolpaths, cutting tools, feeds and speeds, and workholding.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and tight-tolerance specifications.
• Experience optimizing machining processes for quality, efficiency, and repeatability.

Responsibilities

• Develop, create, and optimize complex 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling programs using Mastercam.
• Program precision components from CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Work hands-on with CNC equipment to support machine setups, first-piece runs, and production readiness.
• Collaborate with machinists to improve cycle times, reduce scrap, and maintain part quality.
• Support new product introductions and transition programs into repeatable production.
