Job summary

Qualifications

• Mastercam programming course required or equivalent coursework.
• At least 3 years of CNC programming experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with CNC Mills is required.
• HAAS equipment experience a plus.
• 4th Axis Programming experience required.
• Experience with machine automation preferred.
• Experience with Horizontal and Pallet Changing/Automation required.
• Experience with fixture design and implementation required.
• Experience with tooling required.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC Turning and Milling Centers to specifications from drawings or engineering specs.
• Create 3-D models from drawings using MasterCam.
• Develop the sequence of operations in the program.
• Develop efficient fixturing methods for parts.
• Ensure optimal tooling to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Maintain CNC programs and revisions.
• Communicate with machinists on setup and effectiveness of programs.
• Deploy CNC programs to production using Visual ERP work orders.
• May assist Cost Estimator with estimated machining/setup times.
• Generate work instructions or process sheets for operators.
• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes with appropriate fixtures.
• Maintain equipment and train others as required.
• Keep accurate job records and follow safety rules.
