Job summary

Atlas Copco Comptec LLC in Voorheesville, NY is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to optimize CNC processes, implement automation, and support mill-turn and machining center technologies. You will translate complex manufacturing requirements into efficient programs, working closely with production and engineering teams to boost productivity, quality, and performance.

The role reports to the Production Engineering Team Lead and offers opportunities to advance in advanced technical and engineering

Qualifications

Technical degree or certification in CNC programming, machining, manufacturing technology or related fields.
Experience with CAM software and CNC programming best practices.

Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs and post-processors using CAM software for multi-axis machining centers.
Create efficient machining strategies and toolpaths to improve cycle times and surface finish.
Program and support advanced CNC equipment, including mill-turn and machining center technologies.
Validate CNC programs through machine prove-outs and troubleshoot programming issues.
Collaborate with Production Engineering and Operations to implement reliable processes.
Develop and support CNC automation solutions, including macros and probing routines.
Establish programming standards, best practices, and technical documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve machining efficiency, quality, and capability.
