Qualifications

  • Technical degree or equivalent hands-on CNC programming or machining experience.
  • Proficiency with CAM software for CNC program development and optimization.
  • Experience programming CNC tools with CAM software and Mazatrol control.
  • Solid understanding of CNC machining principles, GD&T and tooling.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong problem solving and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Esprit CAM experience is preferred; prior CNC programmer roles are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs and post-processors for multi-axis machining centers.
  • Create efficient machining strategies and toolpaths to improve cycle times and surface finish.
  • Program and support CNC equipment including mill-turn and machining centers.
  • Validate programs through machine prove-outs and troubleshoot issues.
  • Collaborate with Production Engineering to implement repeatable processes.
  • Develop and support CNC automation, macros, and probing routines.
  • Establish programming standards and maintain technical documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve machining efficiency and manufacturing capability.
  • Support integration of new machining technologies as operations grow.

Your role

As a CNC Programmer, your mission is to leverage your programming and machining expertise to optimize CNC processes, introduce innovative automation solutions, and support cutting-edge equipment including mill-turn and machining center technology. Working closely with production and engineering teams, you will transform complex manufacturing requirements into efficient, reliable programs that improve productivity, quality, and operational performance. You will report to the Production Engineering Team Lead.

You will
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs and post-processors using CAM software for multi-axis machining centers.
  • Create efficient machining strategies and toolpaths that improve cycle times, tool life, surface finish, and overall machine performance.
  • Program and support advanced CNC equipment, including mill-turn and machining center technologies.
  • Validate CNC programs through machine prove-outs and troubleshoot programming-related manufacturing issues.
  • Collaborate with Production Engineering and Operations teams to implement reliable and repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and support CNC automation solutions, including macros, probing routines, and parametric programming enhancements.
  • Establish and maintain programming standards, best practices, and technical documentation.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve machining efficiency, consistency, quality, and manufacturing capability.
  • Support the integration of new machining technologies and equipment as the manufacturing operation continues to grow and evolve.

You hold a technical degree, certification, or have equivalent hands-on experience in CNC programming, machining, manufacturing technology or related fields.
  • Proficiency with CAM software for CNC program development, toolpath creation, and machining optimization.
  • Experience programming CNC machine tools using CAM software and machine control platforms such as Mazatrol.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, tooling selection, cutting parameters, GD&T, and machine controls.
  • Ability to reach and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
  • Experience with Esprit CAM software is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a CNC programmer, Toolmaker, or similar precision machining role is preferred.
