Job summary

Atlas Copco in Voorheesville, NY seeks a skilled CNC Programmer to optimize multi-axis machining. You will develop and maintain CNC programs, create efficient toolpaths, and support mill-turn and machining center technology to improve productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or certification in CNC programming or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Proficiency with CAM software for CNC program development and optimization.
• Experience programming CNC machine tools using CAM software and Mazatrol.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, tooling selection, cutting parameters, GD&T, and machine controls.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs and post-processors for multi-axis machining centers.
• Create efficient machining strategies and toolpaths to improve cycle times and surface finish.
• Program and support CNC equipment including mill-turn and machining centers.
• Validate CNC programs through machine prove-outs and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with Production Engineering and Operations to implement repeatable processes.
• Develop and support CNC automation solutions, including macros and probing routines.
• Establish and maintain programming standards and technical documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve machining efficiency, quality and capability.
• Support integration of new machining technologies as operations grow.
